Midnight in Kaş
(Signature Cocktail)
Adding to your celebratory cocktail repertoire we present a New Dawn signature, a Midnight in Kaş. Figs, New Dawn Bourbon, and Sparkling Wine – oh my! A demure but sexy and sophisticated cocktail with the delicate flavor of figs and the pop of your favorite bubbles it’s sure to become your end of summer early fall drink of choice.
If you’ve got fresh figs on hand and a bit of patience, you can make a 2:1 syrup of figs and sugar. Impatient and outside of fig season? Grab some fig syrup online and dilute a ¼ teaspoon with 1 ounce simple syrup and 1.5 ounce water.
The recipe calls for a squeeze of lemon that can help uplift sad figs as needed. Add to bourbon and figs before sparkling wine.
Midnight in Kaş
2 oz New Dawn Bourbon
1 oz fig syrup*
squeeze of lemon
4 oz sparkling wine
Combine bourbon, fig, and lemon juice (just a splash!) in a mixing glass with ice. Stir to chill and strain into champagne flute. Top with sparkling wine.
*fig syrup: either combine in a bowl 2:1 figs and sugar and let sit for three days until juices releases, and strain off syrup - OR- combine 1/4 teaspoon store bought fig syrup with 1 ounce simple syrup and 1.5 teaspoon water.
