Cigar Pairing: Tres Lindas - La Negrita Torpedo

It's Women's History Month and I couldn't be more pleased to be sharing Tres Lindas' La Negrita with you. Black woman owned, Tres Lindas' produces some very tasty sticks and La Negrita is a lovely match for New Dawn's 6 year old bourbon bringing out the bourbon's sweeter orange notes and tempering her molasses flavors to a more rich buckwheat honey.

This spicy but smooth smoke brings notes of pepper, cocoa, espresso, and just a hint of leather. Surprisingly the tobacco notes that came in towards the middle of the smoke tasted more like your finest black tea and with our 6 year old bourbon's sweet citrus the experience made made me think of orange chocolate cake. High tea anyone?

To me this smoke came in on the lighter end of the robust cigars but that just makes it all the more likely that you'll reach for this on hot summer days when you want to feel fancy.
