Basil Mint Julep
If there was ever a particular julep to convince you to drink juleps year-round, it would be this one and probably because it’s untraditional. First, we add basil because the mint tempers the basil, the basil tempers the mint, so you get a beautiful herby balance that is bright and fresh. A pop of lime juice makes this all the more refreshing as does the splash of seltzer. And while tradition says serve this over crushed ice, if you want a spirit forward martini like moment shake, strain, and serve up.
