Some context: Founder & CEO, Dawn, learned the origins of the French Connection, made with Grand Marnier not amaretto, and cognac in the Black Community courtesy of the @thedrinkingcoach her Ces Cibon dinner during Tales of the Cocktail. Served in this instance with a decadent Bread Pudding (@chapterivnola) and Courvisier, she immediately knew we needed to try this with New Dawn.

We of course made it two ways, the French-style version with amaretto re-named the
French Situationship and one styled as Black people know it with Grand Marnier re-named the French Entanglement (because Grand Old Fashioned doesn’t do this drink justice, there is nothing Old fashioned about it).

Now we’ve been told that this is the drink you order when you want to signal your interest in some, ahem…bedroom activities… so drink with caution!

French Entanglement

1 oz New Dawn bourbon

1 oz Grand Marnier*

Combine in a mixing glass with ice an stir to chill. Strain into a brandy snifter and enjoy!

*you can adjust this to taste but we recommend using at least 1/2 of an ounce
