The Devereaux

This one isn’t a signature but we loved the name, Blanche Devereaux being the epitome of chic, that we were willing to give this sparkling wine cocktail over ice a try. We shouldn’t have been surprised New Dawn was a match. Afterall, New Dawn is always better with friends. Adding ice lightens up this cocktail considerably making it a refreshing choice for a hot spring or summer day. But if ice and sparkling wine isn’t your thing you can omit the ice and serve this up.

The Devereaux

1 oz New Dawn Cask Strength Bourbon

1/2 oz Elderflower Liqueur (we like St Germaine)

1/2 oz lemon juice

barspoon to 1/2 oz simple syrup

sparkling wine

Combine ingredients except sparkling wine in a mixing glass with ice. Stir until chilled and strain into a highball glass with ice. Top with sparkling wine. Garnish with mint springs or edible flowers.
