Vampire’s Kiss

(Signature Cocktail)

New Orleans may be known for Mardi Gras but the city definitely has a supernatural vibe the lends itself to Halloween. And while apple cider cocktails seem to reign supreme for those of you looking for something a little more sophisticated we bring you the love child of the Sazerac and Hemingway’s Death in the Afternoon – the Vampire’s Kiss.

Here we add a touch of sparkling wine to the traditional bourbon and absinthe to lighten things up and then float a few drops of Peychaud’s bitters to give the effect of a that seductive, albeit bloody, love bite.
